Yup, I can remember going to the farm progress show at the Amana colonies in ‘82 IIRC, and Deere was running an 8820 with a 1243 corn head. First time in my life I ever saw a 12 row corn head. And he wasn’t moving too fast either. And bear in mind this was prolly 135 bushel corn back then. Still was something too see.
