If it is a dual voltage motor by the name plate, there should be a tag showing how to change it. The above post is right, check the control power transformer and make sure to change taps from 480V to 240V. The overloads should be changed. I have seen improperly sized heaters, i.e. too small, burn up and cause a flashover. You can e-mail me if you have more questions. E-mail is in my profile.
