Subject: Banding 11-52-0

I can buy a set of 8300 john deere plain grain drills in decent shape prolly not really in drilling condition at the moment. My thought was banding some 11-52 with these drills. Has anyone ever done this? I didn't really plan on putting any seed or anything with the fertilizer just lay the fertilizer down in a band and in corporate it alittle with the drills. this would be on no till situation. I am just thinking that this would be an easy way to apply some cheaper Phos. 10 34 is $640 a ton here and 11-52 is about 400 a ton. It wouldn't take long to pay off these drills at that price. Will this work or am I just asking for a headache.
