EC North Dakota | My suggestion is replace the rim for safety reasons. Had this happen on my combine couple years ago. Bought new rims from tire supplier, and ran them off in less than 10o hrs. Come to find out the rims they were selling me were not heavy enough to handle loaded combine. Be sure to get at least the weight rating for the rim that the original was.
Other suggestion I might offer is since you are carrying a blade on the front to go to the next heavier rim than OEM and then go with a reinforcing ring, similar to welded in ring, except it goes over the existing rim to give extra support around the holes. I put them on any loader tractors I have. Have not had a problem with rims breaking since. | |
