Iowa | Couple notes: (1) clean those bores for the water passages AND their chamfers really good and smooth on both the cylinder head and the front cover. (2) DON'T forget the water passage MUST be in the cylinder head BEFORE you set it back of the engine(just push into the head JUST deep enough to clear the front cover, WITH some lube or grease on the o-rings and in both bores) (3) Immediately after the cylinder head is finally torqued down, now try to carefully and evenly slide the water passage forward into the front cover bore. IF you cut the o-ring, you have to start ALL OVER again! If it goes in good, slid on the spring clip. (4) Many people add coolant or water right NOW, so you know if those two o-rings are OK, before proceeding any further. | |
