...Hard to argue with more filtering... I'd been told that the bypass filters were helpful in trapping moisture - if you've got a situation where you don't always run up to operating temperature they might be easier on the engine bottom end.

Lubrifiners got a bad name in Canada during the winters because they would cool the oil enough on winter highways to keep the engine temp low.

There's an alternative to the large Lubrifiner that we've used on our Wagner WA-14 when we updated the engine. Cummins (Fleetguard) - make a smaller bypass filter (LF 777) - for about $40.00 you can get the housing (spin on style filter) - and mate up to the Lubrifiner lines. Then you've got the benefits of the bypass filter, without the larger oil capacity & mess at oil change time.
