Subject: RE: Wagon Tires ??

Central Illinois

I bought a Goodyear 12.5 L X 15 (12 Ply) tire a couple years ago. Sidewall says: For speeds up to 10 MPH 4440 pound at 52 PSI, for speeds 11 - 25 MPH 3860 pounds at 52 PSI

250 X 56 + 2500 (wt of wagon ? ) = 16500 / 4 = 4125 # per tire or slightly overloaded for speeds 11 to 25 MPH.

I've never seen the weight rating on the sidewall of an implement tire before. I have this tire on a 350 bushel wagon, so its overloaded. Back when this wagon was new, most wagons this size had 11 L X 15 tires on them. We've always had 12.5 L's though. Good luck.
