West Michigan | I have never been the north route around the lake. Others I know have. Not much to see that you have not seen , if you are going for fishing or hunting maybe a place to go. Sight seeing is good but if you hit the south shore in the USA you have seen more or less the same thing. Here are a few I would suggest for the lowers west side starting at the bridge. Mackinaw Island (tourist trap but cool)
Traverse city (Leelanau Peninsula (Cherry capital of the world) , sleeping bear dunes, wine tours, )
Petosky
Ludington (great salmon fishing)
Hart/Silver lake (sand dunes that you can ride buggys, quads, pickups on)
Grand Haven (a great beach and waterfront)
Holland (one of the best fresh water beaches in the states)
