| NO, NO, NO, Not what I meant at all.
Believe me I went through this just a few years ago when we had sale at Mom and Dads, it's a gut wrenching day I never want to go through again.
My way with words is sorely lacking, and in type I'm a babbling fool.
I was getting at the look on the young guy's face when he thought he had something he could afford, as compared to the pained look as he mentally counted his sheckles to make the last bid that got him the tractor. this was a young fellow just starting up, so I actually could see his anticipation, and overheard him talking to his wife about his hopes of getting it.
One of the worst parts of going to a sale is having to watch the face of the owner, as his life's work goes under the rambling mumbles of the auctioneer. In this case I was especially glad when the 1206 brought that price, and his older M2 Gleaner brought $9900.00 nearly double what the expected price was. Mostly because his equipment was all well kept and shed stored, and the newer bigger stuff was bringing way too little. It was twice as hard to watch because he had to retire due to heart problems and not because he was really ready to retire.
