Thats the same problem found on our 8440. We had alot of blowby and it started hard. We've had the tractor about 5 yrs and after 3 yrs or so we noticed it didn't start quite as good as when we first bought it. Then the blowby picked up. Tractor had been overhauled before we bought it at a farm auction. We're wondering if the clamp was left loose then or if it may have loosened up. May have to make it a habit to check clamps once a year.
