It sounds to me like you are trying to tell me that your time is worthless.

My time is not worthless.

If I, or someone else here, am spending time working on the planter it is taking time away from something else. We don't just sit around twiddlig our thumbs waiting for something to do, we have work lined up to fill the labor supply and more being turned away. We do virtually all of our own maintenance, repair, and fabrication work....but we're not stupid enough to think that our shop time doesn't cost us something.

No offense, but it sure sounds like you need to concentrate on finding something productive to do with your time.  Perhaps that is rebuilding a junk planter, or perhaps it is something else, you'll have to figure that out on your own.
