n.i.c.e looking northern pike. This is what I like to do in winter..granted it's not a winter pic.. nor is it me. Buddy has a guide service on Lake Chelan and I get a pretty good deal on fishing. :-) We do however fish in the dead of winter! and catch fish like this. It's a Mackinaw or lake trout. (part of the char family) Granted not all the fish are this big, it's around 23 pounds.. a guy will catch smaller ones often. Feb-March is the time window which seems to be when the larger mac's are caught however. We used to go out religiously on New Year's day. But family's seem to throw a wrench in the fishing on New Years.. :-(
