Brazilton KS | It will definately be less then the 3.14" but it's hard to say exactly how much. I am sure the geometry problem can be worked out but it would require a pretty good picture of the situation. You are dealing with the difference between the part of the pulley that the belt runs on plus or minus the difference in the runs from the other pulley to this one because of the changed angle. I'd look at where it was in adjustment, then reduce the existing belt length by 1" if it was at the short end of adjustment or a bit more if it needed to be shorter anyway. ...and take the next size either way with you.
An alternative method is to make the installation, then cut the old belt and wrap it around the pulleys and cut to the correct length. Take it directly to the belt supplier to be measured before someone throws it away on you....and still, get the next length either way. | |
