SW Saskatchewan
One always ran a "discer" (surflex, Jeffrey wide level, schaeffer plow, one way, combine tiller or what ever you called it in your neck of the woods) with a swinging hitch.

Back in 70's tried a few 3-pt implements- why use 3 pins when one will do quite well?

Lots of larger 2wd around that came from factory with 3pt but no draft arms!

For use- hutterites still use a lot of large mfwd tractors for field work to keep young bucks employed. Then use for manure wagons, grain carts, sprayer tractors, forage harvesters etc when not in main use. Get hrs on equip like southern farmers!

Haqve a good one.
