Saronville NE | What do they weigh? I really feel by late summer we will see stronger cattle prices. But will be intresting to see how long some guys can hold on, you can only ride on equity for so long. I have a friend of mine that is a diehard feeder, he is in his 70s, and wont quit till he dies, if he isnt broke first, says the last 6 pens have lost over $200 a head, ouch. Told me the other day that he just got done paying off all his old 80s debt, just within the last couple yrs and now looks like he will start all over again. Thats sad. Told me the avg cattle feeder will be broke 3 times in his life. Dont know if I beleive that, but thats his old saying, that he has told me many times.
