Can you somehow compare it to the old one? JD has been known to not make exact replacement parts. If you find out it's definately not right, don't be scared to take it back and get another one. I hate putting something together and finding out the part I replaced wasn't exactly like the old one. It ticks me off. Quality control has seem to gone down the drain.
