| My dad and I use to go to machinary auctions together. He'd look at me and say buy that and I would. That's how I learned that quick bids and bumping the bid would usually get it bought for less than a slow response. Went to a sale one time and bought an expensive piece of equipment for a friend of mine and my bid was always $500 above the last bid, bought it for about halve what it was worth. at the same sale saw another piece sale for more than it was worth and the last $2000 went at $20 a bid the $2000 before that went at $50. | |
