Subject: RE: Battery disconnect kit for JD 8400 tractor

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I was thinking about putting one on my 8120 as well. My 8310R came with one from the factory.

I made one for my Eagle truck by buying a switch. By rearranging the wiring on the truck, I only needed to buy one extra cable to go from the switch to the frame ground. I was able to mount the switch in the side of the battery box by making a hole with a hole saw. Since the box was aluminum, the hole saw worked well.

I will have to look at the tractor to see if I can find a decent place to mount the switch without needing much wire to go to the common chassis ground point.
