I love geography! 50 years ago, someone local went to University of Nebraska & was telling me how in Nebraska, what we know as a "nut" is called a burr. Understand, I was 16, so regional variances as such were a new thing for me. That is why I asked about a "lay"...never heard that term before. Thought it might mean "share", but wasn't sure
