WCIL | We have a 12ft mounted 1600 with those gauge wheels mounted on the back bar facing forward. Been over thousands of acres with no problems. The shanks to the inside do throw dirt on them, but you can't see any ill effects on the field and the rims still have their paint (we run straight spikes). Pulled that thing in heavy soil with a 1066, 4450, then a 4760 (all 2wd). Have had them all raise the front tractor wheels knee high in compacted areas and didn't hurt the plow, but it was inadvertent and not recommended! | |
