Southern Saskatchewan | Urs don't take this as bashing-wanted to make thast point from the start.Hyde you're on the right track with the Michelins. There is no better tire on the market than Michelin.I just got out of the tire business that I was in for 10years with lots of ag. I run Michelins on the combine and 9200 4wd and absolutely love them.Ride, comfort, traction, soil compaction and longivity are untouched by anyone else. The comment on Continental is is correct saying they are less $$ but not even close to the same tire.FNA customers use them because of the $$ factor or if you are looking at trading soon they might be a consideration.Back to the Michelin-you mentioned they were going on a chore tractor. That would be my only concern-if the winters are harsh in your area-ice covered the Michelin because of the harder rubber will definately have less traction. That is the only reason to shy away from them.Gerald may be able to give you his opinion on this issue. I run OEM FSTN still on my 7420 and will have to change in the next couple of years. So Geralds input to the traction issue is one I would like to hear too. | |
