Subject: Driver belts for old drill press...........where to get??

Oskaloosa, Iowa 52577

We bot an old, heavy, huge drill press at auction...........the drill press appears to be one which will actually drill big holes without walking around...........I think the biggest bit that came with it is at least.......hmmmm.......3 inches in diameter----just huge.

However.........it needs a belt to drive the mechanism.

Two inches wide...........5 feet long--------10ft doubled..........the kind of belt that does not stretch.

We have the local "we have everything" farm supply store looking........but so far....no luck for a "standard" belt.

Might have to fabricate one, but it would be easier to just buy one.

If we fabricate one, then it appears we will have to mount a tightener of some kind on it........that certainly will not result in the sky falling, but, just another piece of hassle.  I suppose the upside would be that then if we need to get one again, it would be easier.........but I would bet a belt for this old girl will last a long time.

Any ideas where to get one?

Thanks.
