Not sure of your type of planter, but could you buy/build an arm to hold the cyclone to keep you away? This was our 1st yr w/blower system & it worked well. We actually thought there might be more dust, but not too bad. In the photo below, much of the dust is the talc we inducted into the line. I fully realize there is also insecticide & other seed treatments blowing out of there...but we always ate a little of that when dumping bags previous to blower. Since we were filling CCS hoppers, we could get ourselves away from the cyclone pretty easily.

You can see a little dust @ top of photo and the blower IS loading.
