Subject: Re: bin measurements...OK-more on tw

I've always thought that if you have 30,000 ears of 60# tw corn per acre, they would OUTYIELD (more bus or lbs...whichever) that same corn if it had 30,000 ears of 56# tw corn per acre. Does anyone disagree w/that?

I'd say insufficient information.....if the 30,000 ears of 60# corn have fewer kernals per ear then the 30,000 ears of 56# corn then it could go in the favor of the lighter test weight.

If the ears have the same kernal count, then yes, the heavier corn is going to produce more yield.

I'm thinking Ron already understands how test weight relates to the contents of a bin, like most of us (hopefully) do.  Fess up, Ron....is this post intended as a comic reference to some of the silly discussions witnessed here previously?

I'll bet so.
