Subject: RE: How wide machine shed doors

Northeast Indiana (Auburn)
Around my area anything more than 20' wide is not safe to take down a road due to car traffic. A 24' wide by 16' tall door and a 16'wide by 16' tall door side by side with a removable center track post is what we have centered in the end of a 48'X80' shop. The thought was we could get a 40' opening if needed. We have not taken the center post out for years. When we work on 30' headers we pull them in the shop on a cart and pick them up with a fork lift using an adapter to lift at the same place the combine does.
