My understanding that Johnson grass seed is not available. For pasture or hay it can't be beat, for all other farm practices it is a nightmare. I sure hope your neighbors are not crop farmers, they will be very dissatisfied with the new crop of grass. 
There is only one way to kill this grass that is with some rutting hogs, the only other way to rid yourself of it is, die and leave it.
