Nevada, Iowa | I bought a used 10" Westfield truck auger and seemed to have rotten luck getting a plastic hopper to work well with it. I ended up adding one like in the attachment. It wasn't cheap but it put an end to splattering and the hopper sagging and spilling. It also has limited the amount of digging I need to do in low discharge auger situations. I think I get more corn into the auger now than I ever did with a plastic hopper. I don't know if they make anything like this for a 14" but I am sure happier. The biggest negative was added weight to the auger, I can no longer move it by hand very easily. I had to add a rear dolly wheel to help lift and move.
