Subject: Re: Harvesting twin rows?

North Central MO
My first year with twins ... 08. Did not seem to slow us down nor did I see any additional loss. Corn was standing good and 15.5 - 18.5%. Like the post above mentions, and I can't explain the logic behind this, but it is different than getting off the rows a few inches when your shelling single 30's. Seems to feed fine. Planted with a Great Plains so .... 8" twins and stagger was fairly good. Less than ideal conditions may be different ............ time will tell.

Pic .... note .... corn reel was left on after shelling down corn last year in 30's ... to lazy to take it off, did not present problems just leaving it on.
