West Texas | When I was small we still burned coal inside the house. Only room that was warm was the living room were the coal heater was. Mom always fussed as coal had to carried in thru the house from a bin in the utility room. Lots and I mean lots of dust associated with it. When the coal delivery truck came to fill up the bin there was lots of coal dust outside the back of the house. I'd be playing in it and promptly getting a spanking for getting all black. I remember when the plumber came and installed central heat and how elated my Mom was. It was natural gas fired. No more coal and I don't think I'd ever want to burn coal as long as there is an alternative method of heat.
