Remsen, IA | My thought is that this is the same as leasing a tractor without an implement which is very common. The tractor generally serves no purpose without the implement but the are leased that way all the time. A tractor or combine are the most expensive components and can be used over a wide variety of situations while the heads and implements are specific to certain crops, row widths, seasons, operator preference, etc.
