30 year old pivot? No way I'd by half in that old antiuqe. The way we do it is that landowner owns all equipment, unless there is a long term lease say 10 to 15 years or a plan to buy the equipment if the lease ever ends. Landowner should insure everything they own and you the same. When it comes to paying for the ground HERE irrigated ground goes for 70 to 100 dollars more per acre than dryland, but I live in the more often than not desert thats call SW Texas. Just out a pencil to it and see what its worth to you.
