Subject: Re: Poly or steel cupped auger?

WE ran a steel auger for many years filling planters. Best thing we found to prevent splitting was to run the auger full & slow. I have no experience with the poly but was told by a friend that raises & conditions seed beans to stay away from a bristle auger as they will rub the outer coating off the seed thereby reducing germ.

More money but if I was you I would look at a belt conveyor to go on one of your wagons. Then you could use that wagon for bulk seed corn as well.
