Subject: RE: Question

SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ
I still don't understand running the head higher. I have never seen a perfect standing field with no stalk breakage. I would like to see such a field. I do not know of anyone that runs there snouts off the ground one foot. Everyone I see runs the snouts on the ground or just slightly touching to pick up down corn. It just not seem practical to run the head a foot higher. One would have alot of volunteer corn next year.
I don't understand how its feasible to do so.
