We routinly no till beans into standing milo stalks with not shredding the previous fall. Works fine. Here, in our area, central Mo. the leaves will be down on the ground by spring, and maybe half of the stalks. Remember too. the combine will lay down many of the stalks at harvest. The narrower the grain platform, the more stalks will be down.
