So. IL | If it would have been mowed mid-late August and then sprayed with glyphosate the second week of September. Then the outlook for no-till soybeans would have been excellent.
The challenge at this point is that there is a lot of residue that will need to be dealt with next spring. If you have a planter equipped for high residue you can still get the job done.
I think that I would still try to get it sprayed immediately with a quart and a half of glyphosate along with Ammonium Sulfate. Try to find a custom applicator willing to use 20 GPA volume to get coverage down into the canopy. If you can get 50-80% of the growth killed now you will be ahead of the game come next spring. | |
