Subject: RE: Liquid Attachment for wheat?

NE Mo
Thanks for the input here. I put a liquid attachment on a GP drill a couple of years ago. The bracket at the drill opener, is where we run the liquid hose to the seed trench in front of the seed lock wheel. I am concerned about placement. The hose is not secured at the bottom of the seed trench, so it does move/wobble around some. Using 9 18 9 or other analysis, if the fertilizer does get above the seed at times, do you think it would move down to the seed? Using 5-6 gals of liquid per acre. I am thinking of adding a tube to the seed lock wheel and attaching the hose to that to better place the fertilizer to the bottom of the trench. Am I on the right track? Some years ago, a nieghbor tried sending the liquid fertilizer tube down the seed tube, but that did not work well, made lots of dirt buildup.
