Nice pics,but i'm trying to figure out what the round disc looking thing is to the left of your weights?.Looks like a closing wheel?,Spare maybe?.
We also ran weights on our drills,most the time around 8-10,just depended on conditions.Did that for the same reason as you for when the drills would get lower on seed.
