Subject: Squirrel Ear Corn

Crawford County, Robinson, Illinois

A few folks around her pick ear corn, bag i in plastic bags for sale at local farm stores.  They get $2 or so for a pretty small bag, don't know wht the wholesale is, but the ones that still have pickers say it is well worth their time to pick it in the ear and sell it to them.

I would look around at garden stores for a market, if I had any ear corn for sale, before getting $3 a bushel, if you could get the right market, you might realize many times more than that price.

A neighbor had relation in Chicago area that owned a garden store, they paid a good premium price for ear corn and indian corn for the yuppie market.  Only problem, the market does have a limit, like punkins, when the demand is saturated, it is worth very little.
