Most years it's a non experience. But there have been more than one year in the past standing corn with snow on the ground.
Try to chop after it's thawed leaves less than anticipated results where doing it throughout the night does a really nice job after they are froze.
Adjust to the conditions presented for a particular year..... not getting stuck in a routine that must be followed regardless of what is thrown in your path.
