Flora Indiana | No I didn't have any test strips. It was a 20 acre field that I was planning on notilling beans into and then had a chance to demo a orthman 1trippr and so I tried that. It wasn't a fair trial when compared to the rest of our corn because it was planted later. Also I found out how important it is to use autosteer when trying to stay on the strips. I use a ez-steer system and had taken it out of this tractor to put in the other tractor for planting beans. I thought I would be able to stay on the strips good enough but after planting all the other corn with autosteer and then going back to driving on 20 acres I had a little struggle. When I would wonder off to the side of the strips the corn was slower coming up and the stand wasn't as good. A learning experience. | |
