| Last winter while researching growing better beans (foiled this year by the cold wet spring), I found ONE university research article that said even if the fertilizer applied to the corn sufficiently in excess to supply the beans the following year that beans responded to fertilizer applied in the spring of the bean year better. E.g. the corn used up much of the excess and didn't leave it for the beans which then suffered again.
