Subject: RE: Salvage value ?

Most wrecking yards have little interest in the older stuff because there is so little need for the parts on them. The yard at Bryant Indiana crushed probably 95% of their inventory when the scrap metal price got high. We talked to them about our old 550 Massey in 2002 and they offered to take it if we would drive it over but would not pay anything for it or even come and get it for it.
If it was a Case/IH rotor or a 9500 they might be interested.
What do think you could get out of it fixed up and to sell it? Will it be worth your time to put in the investment?
I think I would take the money the insurance offered and wave good bye.
