Don't remember which. Engineers used to think right hand rule of thumb as it applied to the flow of current through a coil. They they decided they were wrong. It is left hand rule of thumb or maybe I have that backwards. Make a fist with your thumb representing which way the current would flow out your thumb. That is how it was explained to me by John Deere engineers about 45 years ago and that was about 16,425 nights ago that I have slept since.Never did lose any sleep over it either.lol.
