Subject: RE: Pioneer "Y" Beans

Bourbon,Indiana
I do some custom harvesting for a neighbor. I started out on his Pioneer Y and yeilds were in the 57-59bpa range. He was pretty happy with that, but then I got into his Beck's 321 which is a 4-5 year old variety. They avg'd 60-63bpa. I will say the "y" looked like a good bean, but no cause for a price premium in my opinion.
