Aberdeen MS
Custom drying charges "here" for the local coop is 5.25 cents per point per bushel of wet corn. But more than likely if a load of 35% was brought in...it would be the only load you unloaded, they wouldn't accept another that high.

20 points of moisture times 5.25 cents per point gives a $1.05 per bushel cost.

Shrink "here" is 1.35% per point of moisture.

The end result of 500 bushels of 35% corn would be 135 bushels of shrink netting 365 bushels to sell with a drying cost of $525.

Cash price for November corn with current activity on the over night trade is $3.38. At that price it takes 155 bushels to pay for the drying.

Leaving a "net" of 210 bushels of corn to sell to pay bills.

30,000 bushels of 35% corn????? $31,500.00
