Subject: opinions on manure value

I have a chance to purchase cattle manure from a large feedlot. It is piled outside and decomposing after being removed from the barn. The analysis is 17-16-19, and I plan to apply it to alfalfa fields. The cost is mostly trucking at $6-8 per ton and I will spread. Is this a good value? I am hoping to see a better response than commercial fert as the manure is more readily available. Hope to apply 9 ton per acre.
