Okay here goes.
Planted with a drill. 30# to 80# seed depending on variety
Control weeds and grasses with aerial applications
Flood irrigated after rice is 6" tall
160# to 235# of total N applied an airplane in 3 to 5 separate applications
Fungicide, bugspray, about two weeks before harvest drain water. Hopefully It will dry out [the ground I mean] and then harvest
If harvested on dry ground we apply another 90# of N reflood and wait for the ratoon crop. This allows us to harvest 2 crops from one planting.
That is the short version. Total cost per acre roughly 600.00 to 850.00 per acre
