I was thinking the same thing - many areas there is so little corn harvested that there is no tillage done at all and may not be the opportunity to do any before freeze up. Freeze-up is what is needed to get the corn out without causing major field damage. In fact I took a couple pictures the other day in N MO of a field that had just been harvested with a big combine on tracks even and the ruts that were visible from the road. This type of harvest may require some tillage. I think I would have waited for a freeze up on this field but maybe in this area it may not freeze solid for a while. Here is a photo. Jim at Dawn
