We are now using seed counts. Try for 1.5 mil per acre. Lots of counting of seed to find out what we need. Looks like about 25 seeds per foot of row on a 7.5" spaced drill.
Back in the old days, a bushel and a peck was the seeding rate for wheat, rye, barley. Then in the 60's they said we need two bushels per acre. Now, they want 1.5 mil per acre. So what rate to seed? Hell, I don't know.
