That was my thinking below - vet should have been able to tell. The bull was put in about July 1 and been there ever since. However I do want to preg check for culling reasons and to keep calving period fairly tight.   The others all came up at 80-110 days pregnant, according to my vet. He says that he can usually tell at 30-35 days. He said he should definitely be able to tell on this one so retention plans changed. It is tough because the open cow had such a nice calf this year.

I would be interested in learning more about ultrasound.
